Looking back on 2016 – SEPTEMBER 1st

September is a month with high activity in Moscow. So after looking through all the photos from this month I decided that I needed to split the story telling with pictures in more than one. As mentioned in the August look back it was just prior to school start. And that is September first. I was prepared that day to follow some I just by coincident met on the street that morning and see what happened. Never have I been more pleased to see the day to day life in Moscow on this special event.

September 4^th I have a look back on the Spasskaya Tower festival or as we say Military Tatoo. The 10^th was Moscow 869^th birthday and more festival celebration that went on the 11^th too.

So it is just to make the time and look through the entire pictures if you want and I hope you enjoy September as we do.

1^st

What you will see on September first is a lot of children heading for their schools, and all with very few exceptions carrying flowers for their teacher. The girls have their hair sat up in traditional way with loops, nothing can be more Russian than this. Living in Moscow has made me understand that if you like to see the day to day life, just follow the flow and so I did. In this way I get to see more than those who hold back.
