March was a short month of photos. More or less two days I
ended up with. At that time I did not have the challenges and goal as I have
today with framing Moscow for a history book and a travelers temtations. Today I look back and regret a
bit that I was not so much around with my cameras this month last year and at
the same time wondering what will be the chapters in my book project. One
obvious thing is a chapter of all the newly wed couples.
Looking back in February and now in March as well looking into other months of 2016 newly wed is something I am looking for and on a regular basis "pop" into. In March we had a week in Italy as we had the year before and we will this year, so I lost one week. Before we went it was cold and snow and I had in mind to have some shots of the Moscow Tram. That will be developed and maybe end up as a chapter in 2 year time, but most of all this is the day to day life in Moscow these couple of days in March 2016

During the week mostly the Fridays and Saturdays at Red
Square or at GUM one will “pop” into newlywed couples. Either with or without professional
photographer I am there with whatever I have on hand. My Nikon D80 or D3100 my
pocket camera or Samsung Galaxy 3 phone I will try to get something out of the
situation.
At times I also bring my cameras with me for a longer walk.
I have my regular walks from my wife’s work at Paveletskaya back home to
Petrovka. This day I did some covering of snow shuffling in addition, once
again passing the flowers at the bridge. Just few days after the marking of the
one year since his death, snow covered the flowers.

End of March, Easter, sun is shining on Red Square and
Moscow, and as many times described I once again “pop” into a newlywed couple. It
is obvious spring in the air. Chess players out on the street again, usually I
see them in the Parks or in the Boulevards today it was at Tverskaya and a
woman champion take the challenges to the many regular chess players in Moscow.
They have fun at this promotion of chess from the very young to the more aged.
We end the month with some flowers and pass on April as I
spent most of my time in Norway that month as I did in May, but I was back for
a few days in May and can give you a reminder of the spring festival and the
world championship in ice hockey.
