SALUMERIA MOSCOW - April 23rd


For one reason or the other it happens I ended up with liking this restaurant on Facebook and follow them on Instagram. What those pages told me was that when I was back "home" in Moscow I just needed to try it out.

 
It so just happened that friends last Saturday wanted to meet up on this place next Sunday and what a blast. We call them on Saturday, but they did not take reservations so we nicely 8 of us arrived without any reservation and hoped for a table. The place was filled up at every table, but to our big surprise they had a long nice table in the basement overlooking that high activity in the kitchen. I knew from before it need skill and excellent logistic to run a restaurant kitchen, but these guys knew, efficient and I guess they were reading each other mind so all went very smoothly.

 

The atmosphere was set and they organized a mix of starter to be shared between the 8 of us, some Mozzarella, Artichoke and Prosciutto. Each individual picked their main course. I was tempted by the Spaghetti with Seafood. What a fantastic surprise. If the recipe comes from Ancona where Uilliam Lamberti comes from I can fully understand the great taste.
 
 

 
Homemade pasta was superbly cooked and the seafood ingredients made it all heavenly. Along with the food we had, yes correct, Italian wine. The selection was good, but a bit pricy compared to the quality of wine; I better introduce them to our local Tuscan Montecarlo wine. All in all it is a place to go back to and enjoy other dishes on the menu, and for me that present live partly in Moscow and partly in Italy I can compare. This restaurant do not hold back compared to any of the high quality restaurants I have visited in Italy and people in Moscow should find their way to it.
